MS Exchange 2003 - Office 2013 and Internet Explorer 10 - nothing works anymore!

Here in the UK Exchange 2003 is still used by many SMEs who see no real advantages to upgrading - both their hardware to x64 and the software and suffering all the problems of migrating to a new system.

But with the latest release of MS Office this has to change - as Outlook 2013 does not work with Exchange 2003. Microsoft have probably done this as a way of forcing the MSX 2003 users to upgrade - but in my experience all it means is that Office 2010 gets recycled from old PCs to new ones.

Shame on you Microsoft...

And if you think I'm being paranoid, then Internet explorer 10 doesn't work with MSX 2003 OWA either.. in fact, I'm told Version 8 was the first one to break Web Access. It is possible to fix this by forcing IIS on the MSX box to run in IE 8 mode, which makes the change permanent, or end users can use 'compatibility' mode on a session by session basis.

More shame on you MS...
