We do a lot of video manipulation for clients and often supply clients with software 'tools' to don this type of work themselves. As we've mentioned before, many software packages do not understand television aspect ratios and so it's rare - and in fact until now - unheard of - to find a good low cost package that does.

But....

We've now discovered a German developer who offers a freeware solution that really works - yes, it understand aspect ratios and does a very good job of converting video files from a wide range of formats to almost any other format you could want.

The web site is in German but the application is bilingual and highly recommended - free, no advertisements, no Trojans - just an excellent software tool.
